Web Design Process

My web design process is a proven method, developed successfully over the past 17 years. This process is a series of steps that build upon one another, arriving at a final website through a structured approach. Project types include: web marketing websites, e-commerce web projects, and custom web solutions.

My Typical Website Design Process:

Web Design Requirements

Based on my initial conversations with you, the client, I learn about your website goals and create a proposal to reflect those expectations, educate each other, define features and scope, and outline cost and duration.

A web design prototype is established online for better communication. I ask you to answer questions and discuss project details including design preferences, deliverables, and a timeline.

During the Discovery phase, I focus on content-based SEO recommendations and a taxonomy sitemap, and we create theme elements for web design page layouts.

I explore brand/logo, fonts, colors, and usability. Once a direction is established, I design all the website’s page templates.

I program the website and connect to the WordPress content management system (CMS). I enter your content and perform functionality and browser testing.

You are trained on how to use WordPress, and you provide feedback on the website. Once I have your approval, the website launches.

After the website is live, I provide support, assistance and ongoing maintenance to the hosted environment, the website, and the CMS as needed.

Website Updates

Whether it’s small changes, Google Analytics help, or major enhancements, I am always available to discuss the next steps to your website.
